A 25-year-old local was found dead on Monday night in a Maiensäss above Poschiavo in the canton of Graubünden. In the foreground as a presumed cause of death is poisoning by exhaust gases.
According to early police findings, the man and his partner passed out due to the exhaust fumes from a gas water heater. The two people were in different rooms.
After a good two hours, the woman regained consciousness and took care of her partner, as the Graubünden cantonal police announced on Wednesday. She found her dead and alerted rescuers. Resuscitation measures for the man by rescuers were unsuccessful. The prosecution and the cantonal police clarify the matter.
