Aargau’s governing council regretted the resignation of its secretary of state, Vincenza Trivigno, in a statement on Wednesday. At the same time, he congratulates her on her new assignment. Trivigno will become Managing Director of the VAMED Switzerland Group in April 2021. This is active in the healthcare sector, more specifically in intensive care, rehabilitation and medical wellness. It operates the rehabilitation clinics in Zihlschlacht (TG), Dussnang (TG) and Seewis (GR).
The first female secretary of state
Vincenza Trivigno has been the Secretary of State of Aargau since June 1, 2016 and the first woman in this position in the canton. After taking office, she announced in an interview with this newspaper: “Aargau has flourished enormously.”

Landammann Markus Dieth is quoted in the communication: “She has further developed the State Chancellery as a center of service and competence for the governing council and the cantonal administration and has realigned it, in particular in the area of strategic tasks.” He has supported the governing council “in a significant and decisive way” and has put the accent.
Dieth also states: His merits included the home renovation overview, the SmartAargau digitization and modernization program, and the establishment of the ANAXAM technology transfer center.

Trivignos Corona-Management
The secretary of state has also become intensely involved in managing the cantonal coronavirus crisis in recent months. He was a member of the Governing Council Steering and Coordination Committee (KOSTA) and headed the internal working group that designed and implemented the measures to support the economy.
It is open who will be Trivigno’s successor. The search has begun, Dieth said. (jk)
