Total loss in Hünenberg ZG: 19-year-old accident in rush hour traffic

A young driver crashed into a wall and a protective barrier on the A4 motorway. Fortunately, he was only slightly injured. The accident caused a long backlog of traffic at peak hours.

The accident occurred on Monday night (September 28, 2020), shortly before 5:30 p.m., on the A4 motorway between Lindencham and the Rütihof junction in the direction of Lucerne. A 19-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into a border wall on the right. Then the vehicle skidded across all lanes and hit the left hand rail. Then the car stopped at the left edge of the lane.

The young driver was slightly injured in the accident. Zug’s ambulance service took him to the hospital for a checkup. The vehicle was destroyed. The driver’s license was withdrawn from the person who caused the accident for the attention of the administrative authority (traffic office).

The accident caused a backwater on the A4 and A4a motorways in rush hour traffic.
