Fatal motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon in eastern Switzerland: a 42-year-old man was killed in a car accident in Mühlrüti SG.
It happened at 4.15pm after a stop in Hulftegg in the direction of Dreien. According to St. Gallen police, the man was driving in the direction of Dreien when he veered off the road to the right after a long right turn on the next left turn.
Helpers to find deceased motorcycle drivers
In the accident, the motorcycle driver flew from his machine and was thrown about twenty meters into the bed of a stream. When rescuers later arrived at the crash site, they could only determine that the driver was dead.
The route had to be closed while the accident lasted. The canton of St. Gallen police are looking for witnesses who can provide information on the course of the accident. (cat)
