On Friday afternoon, a driver ran off the road on a dirt road in Jenaz. The mother and child were injured.

The 28-year-old wanted to get from the Stutz area by a dirt road to Furnastrasse together with her 4-month-old baby. The car went over the edge of the road to the left on the snow-covered dirt road and fell about fifty meters down a steep incline. The crashed vehicle stopped in a group of trees. A nearby hunter became aware of the accident, went to the crash site, and alerted rescuers. Two teams of ambulances from Schiers Hospital and a crew provided emergency medical care to the two moderately injured people. They were then taken by ambulance to the Graubünden Cantonal Hospital in Chur. The police of the canton of Graubünden clarify the exact course of the accident.

Traffic delays and other traffic accidents

The winter road conditions overwhelmed many drivers. The police of the canton of Graubünden were called to 20 traffic accidents with sheet metal damage on Friday. Most of the vehicles involved were still fitted with summer tires. Most of the Graubünden passports had to be chain-binding or, in some cases, temporarily blocked for security reasons. Current road conditions in Graubünden can be found on the Internet at www.strassen.gr.ch or at www.strassenmobile.gr.ch and on the app of the Cantonal Police of Graubünden.
