A woman in Vietnam is said to have sold used condoms

According to media reports, Vietnam police seized more than 300,000 used condoms from a warehouse, which were supposed to be washed, packaged, and then marketed as new.

Used condoms were reportedly strewn on the warehouse floor in Binh Duong province, north of Ho Chi Minh City.

Some condoms were already packaged and therefore ready for resale. The raid took place last Saturday. It later emerged that a 32-year-old woman had rented the warehouse. The investigation continued on Friday.

The woman’s job was to wash and dry the condoms and prepare them for resale. They also tested them on a wooden phallus, they said. The goal was to make the condoms look like new. Every month, an unidentified person gave the woman thousands of condoms.

A video broadcast on Vietnamese television (VTV) showed bags full of condoms. They are said to have a total weight of around 360 kilograms. (cki / sda / dpa)
