On Thursday morning, a family fight broke out in an apartment in Zurich-Wollishofen. A 47-year-old man died despite resuscitation attempts, his 50-year-old wife and 18-year-old daughter had to be taken to hospital (read more here).
As several media outlets unanimously reported, the prosecution assumes that the 18-year-old daughter shot her father during the dispute. She was arrested and the prosecutor requested preventive detention. It is the presumption of innocence.
How exactly the dispute occurred and under what circumstances the 18-year-old woman fired the shots is the subject of further investigations by the cantonal police and the prosecution.
