A dispute has escalated at Stein AG: a German (56) was hit by a car early Saturday night, the Aargau canton police report. The German is said to have had a dispute with a Swiss (50) shortly before, after which the latter took him to the car.
The event took place in the parking lot of a food stand, right in front of the Novartis company. A passerby met the injured German at 6:30 pm and called the police. An ambulance took the man to hospital. From what is known, he suffered a concussion, a broken nose and several abrasions and bruises.
The prosecutor is investigating
The alleged perpetrator was no longer there, but could still be determined that night. The Aargau canton police temporarily detained him. The Rheinfelden-Laufenburg prosecutor’s office opened an investigation.
According to previous knowledge, a dispute had broken out between the unknown persons in front of the German customs office at the Stein-Säckingen border crossing. It is said that one punched the other. They then met again at the food stand, which resulted in a collision. The exact circumstances are not yet clear. (hac)
