Ruben Vargas leads Augsburg in the away win against Union Berlin in the lead. The other Swiss cannot win any victories with their teams.
In the 41st minute, Rubén Vargas only had to stretch his head to get ahead of FC Augsburg in the away game against Union Berlin. Fullback Raphael Framberger ran after the ball down the right side and found the Swiss international in the middle. It was FCA’s well-deserved advantage against Urs Fischer’s Union Berlin.
But Berlin’s “iron” vehemently pushed for compensation in the second half. With the replacement of the veteran Max Kruse, the Berliners believed in their opportunity and 15 minutes before the end, they rewarded themselves with the draw of Marius Bülter.
In the end, all three points went to Augsburg anyway. Michael Gregoritsch (minute 82) and André Hahn (minute 89) made the decision with their goals.
Zubers Frankfurt only with a draw against the newcomers
Steven Zuber made his substitute debut for Eintracht Frankfurt in the home game against the newly promoted Bielefeld. However, just minutes after entering the field after the break, Adi Hütter’s team fell into reserve. Cebio Soukou carefully completed an ultra-fast attack from Bielefeld and scored his first goal in the Bundesliga.
The guests, for whom the Swiss Cédric Brunner entered in the 13th minute, were pressured and conceded the equalizer in the 62nd minute. Bas Dost extended a cross from Kostic to the head of André Silva, who pushed the ball over the line from three meters. The home team, for which Djibril Sow was not used, continued to press for the winning goal in the later stages, but could not reward itself despite the chances.
Kobel loses with Stuttgart
The promoted Stuttgart had to take a defeat in the first match in the first division. The team with Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel just lost 3-2 at home to SC Freiburg. The 22-year-old Zurich was not complicit in any of the three goals conceded. After a 3-goal deficit, the Stuttgart team came close to 2: 3, but the attack came too late in the end.
Hertha BSC and Hoffenheim win away
Hertha Berlin celebrated an away win. Bruno Labbadia’s team clearly beat Werder Bremen 4-1. Peter Pekarik, Dodi Lukebakio, Matheus Cunha and Jhon Cordoba took care of the Berlin goals. Former Berliner Davie Selke scored Bremen’s consolation goal.
TSG Hoffenheim won in the last minute against FC Köln in their fifth game of the afternoon (3-2). Dominick Drexler made the acclaimed draw for the Domstadt team in the 86th minute. But Andrej Kramaric was the mood killer in injury time with his third goal of the game.
