The 22-year-old is recognized as the most combative rider in his first appearance in the Tour de France.
A great honor for Marc Hirschi: the young Swiss was named “Supercombatif” at the Tour de France on Saturday. With this title, the rider who has proven to be the most aggressive in the 3 weeks is honored at the “Grande Boucle”.
Hirschi had secured victory on stage 12 in his Tour de France debut; Furthermore, he was once second and third and had appeared in escape groups several times.

The 22-year-old’s predecessors are several prominent names in cycling: in 2019, French star Julian Alaphilippe became “super combatif”, in previous years Dan Martin, Warren Barguil and Peter Sagan.
The award for the most combative driver has been awarded since 1956. In 1983 Serge Demierre from Geneva was the only Swiss to receive the honor so far.
