Stage 18 of the Tour de France fell prey to the defeated Ineos team in terms of overall classification. Michal Kwiatkowski from Poland won ahead of his teammate Richard Carapaz from Ecuador.

There were no changes to the top of the overall ranking. The favorites crossed the finish line together, just under two minutes from the duo Ineos. Slovenian Primoz Roglic remains 57 seconds ahead of his compatriot Tadej Pogacar.

Marc Hirschi also reached the finish line with the group of favorites. As a member of the top group, the Bernese had won the first three mountain classifications, but was later stopped by a fall. As a consolation, Hirschi was named the most combative driver of the day.
