Mega fire in Italy: explosions in the port of Ancona

At first only a shed burned, then the harbor. The flames destroyed much of the port of Ancona on Tuesday. Including trucks with solvents and warehouses with buckets of paint and other toxic materials. And not only that: there is a company on site that produces liquid nitrogen, a power plant and a methane plant.

Witnesses report several explosions. Soon after, a huge plume of smoke rose into the sky. The feathers fell on the Italian city on the Adriatic coast. Authorities responded immediately. Residents should not go outside. The windows remain closed. Schools, universities and public facilities were immediately closed, Italian media reported.
