He kept claiming his innocence. It didn’t work. Now Navid Afkari († 27) was executed. The 27-year-old was executed at the Adel-Abad prison in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz, the head of the judiciary in Fars province, Kasem Mousavi, told state television. After the sentence was also confirmed by the Supreme Court, the execution was carried out in the presence of the victim’s family, Mousavi said.
The 27-year-old finally made a confession under torture. Apparently this mistreatment was mentioned by witnesses in the trial, but it was ignored in the sentence.
Many prominent voices were raised after the horror verdict. They rebelled and finally demanded an end to the executions in Iran. Including the president of the United States, Donald Trump (74).
His brothers, Vahid (35) and Habib (29), were also tried. They got away with long prayers and spankings. (jmh / SDA)
