Olten Carnival

The official Olten Carnival in 2021 will not take place due to Corona, as the protection of the population cannot be guaranteed on such an important occasion, according to the Carnival Committee. This means that all official events such as the two parades or the night of the bank of schnitzel in the pub are no longer applicable. The 2021 carnival plaques will be produced despite the cancellation. The Banausiade, Hilari-Afternoon and Guggilari pre-carnival events at the Schützi cultural center are still open.
The Hägendorf root council cancels the official carnival program. This year no badges will be awarded. Badges already submitted will be used for the 2022 Badge Competition.
Due to the huge uncertainty in planning about whether major events can be held in 2021 and financial risk, the 2021 Carnival will be canceled. However, according to the Erlinsbach Carnival Committee (FAKO), there is a special edition gold plate “Corona”.
Wolfwil Carnival
The traditional occasion of the Big Bang carnival on November 14 has been canceled.

In Solothurn there is still hope that the Carnival of 2021 will take place in the city. A final rejection has not yet been received. As it was too early to make a final decision, a working group was set up which, until October, worked out various options on how the carnival could be carried out, said Ober Ober Patrick Zimmermann.

The carnival society wants to determine in mid-October whether the carnival and with it the Gäuer parade will take place in any way or not. However, what is already certain: when the carnival takes place, the parade will pass through Wolfwil, as the canton road that passes through Neuendorf is being renovated.
Carnival in Neuendorf
The Fasnachtsrat Neuendorf will determine in a meeting with the representatives of the clique on September 22 how things will proceed. For the president it is clear: “A simplified version like in Basel is not a problem for us.”
Carnival in Mümliswil
The committee of the carnival society wants to decide in mid-October.
