Starting November 1, the two Science and Technology departments will merge under the leadership of Christiane Hanna Henkel. Together they form the department of new technologies and sciences. In this way, the respective strengths of the two departments can be used even better in the future and synergies can be pooled. Technology and science are playing an increasingly important role in NZZ reporting and are closely related to the issues.

Christiane Hanna Henkel has headed the Technology department since its founding in November 2019 and has been with NZZ for more than 20 years. Christian Speicher, Head of the Science Department since 2009, resigns from this role in order to devote himself fully to writing in the future as a specialized editor.
