German tourists are threatened with quarantine after returning home from Vaud and Geneva. The same could soon be true for travelers returning to Switzerland from Paris or the south of France.

On Friday, the Federal Council will address the sensitive question of whether a quarantine obligation should apply to travelers from France in the future. Due to the high number of infections – currently 139 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days – France has met the Swiss criteria for a risk country for some time.
