The Bombardier CRJ has been wholly owned by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries since last June. The Japanese corporation acquired the short distance family to obtain its service network. The program, however, is being crushed in favor of the company’s own regional jet, Spacejet. In the future, Mitsubishi will only produce spare parts for CRJ series aircraft and maintain service and maintenance.

At the moment, Mitsubishi has yet to deliver some ordered CRJs that are manufactured by Bombardier on behalf of the Japanese. The latest copy should be delivered to the customer by the end of this year. At Ruag, the rear fuselage section for the last CRJ sample was completed these days and shipped to Mirabel, Canada for final production. The Swiss aviation group manufactured various fuselage parts for the CRJ 700, 900 and 1000 series.
