Shortly after 1:30 pm, the Winterthur city police received a report that there had been a collision between a tractor with a trailer and a city bus on Frauenfelderstrasse. The patrol that was immediately deployed came across a trailer loaded with 18 tons of apples that had been overturned against a chandelier.
According to initial findings, the tractor and trailer entered the city center on Frauenfelderstrasse. When crossing with a city bus leaving the city, there was a friction collision between the two vehicles, with the tractor trailer overturning, the tractor turning 180 ° and the side of the city bus damaged.
The cause of the accident will be clarified by the Winterthur City Police. Two passengers on the bus were slightly injured in the collision and had to be treated by the Winterthur rescue service. The tractor driver, a 42-year-old Swiss, was unhurt.
