Submarine handler Peter Madsen admits to murder of journalist
Danish submarine builder Peter Madsen, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, confessed to the crime for the first time.
In a documentary aired Wednesday, Madsen answered “yes” over the phone when asked if he had killed the young woman in August 2017. Madsen added: “There is only one culprit and that is me.” This after having denied the act throughout the process.

According to “Jyllands Posten”, the largest newspaper in Denmark, this is the documentary series “The Secret Recordings with Peter Madsen”. Behind the project is Discovery Networks Denmark, the first episode was released on Wednesday morning.
Discovery Networks Denmark writes in a press release that journalist Kristian Linnemann had more than 20 hours of telephone conversation with Peter Madsen.
Madsen, 47, had already been sentenced to life in prison for the murder. According to the court, he first tortured Swedish journalist Kim Wall in a self-made submarine, then killed him and threw her dismembered overboard. The court assumed a sexual motive. (Red)
