Croatia in it, France safe: this is the current list of BAG risk countries
The BAG has updated its list of risk countries. The new list is effective as of Monday, September 7. Ten new countries are now subject to quarantine. Eight nations were liberated from this. France is not on the list, despite 122 cases per 100,000 in the last 14 days.
There are two things to consider when entering or returning to Switzerland. On the one hand, it should be the person basically permitted be able to enter Switzerland. Entry allowed?
Anyone with a valid Swiss passport or residence permit in Switzerland can come from any country return to Switzerland at any time.
All “persons entitled to free movement” also have the right to enter the country, that is, Citizens of the EU, EFTA (Norway and Iceland) and Great Britain.
There is also a list of countries from which citizens can also enter at any time (eg for tourism purposes). This includes countries with few new infections currently, such as Canada or Australia. (see map and list below).
Spouses and children under the age of 21 of the aforementioned persons can also enter Switzerland at any time. Those who are not married but can prove their relationship can also enter.
BAG recommends that you do not take unnecessary trips abroad to any of the countries highlighted in red:
Entry from so-called risk countries and regions remains restricted. Are on the list all states outside the Schengen area, with the exception of the following countries:

Do you need quarantine?
Whether entry or return is generally permitted, it should be clarified if a quarantine is necessary. This may also be mandatory in countries where entry is generally allowed.
On July 6, the Federal Office of Public Health published an initial list of countries subject to quarantine; It was updated on July 23, August 8, August 20, and September 7. (see map and list below). The list is updated approximately every two weeks, or sooner in the event of rapid epidemiological advances. It is not yet known when the next update will be made.
Basically every country is on the list. reported more than 60 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. The strength of any wave before these two weeks is not relevant.
Countries for which there are no reliable test results are also included in the quarantine list. Even if returnees from a certain country in Switzerland repeatedly test positive for the virus, a country may appear on this list; this is what happened to Serbia in the first edition.
However, other factors also play a role. France was spared on the September 7 list, though the country reported 122 new infections per 100,000 residents in the past 14 days.
Anyone who ignores the quarantine obligation can become one Fine up to CHF 10,000 to be judged. The federal government plans to select between 20 and 30 aircraft per week from countries that are subject to quarantine as a sample and check accordingly if people are in quarantine and have reported their return to the corresponding cantonal health service.

These countries leave the list on August 20
No longer on the BAG list Belgium, El Salvador, Eswatini, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Mexico and Oman. Entry to Switzerland from these eight countries is again allowed as of September 7 without quarantine.
