In their second match of the Swiss group in the Nations League, the Spanish footballers achieve their first victory. In Madrid they beat Ukraine 4-0 after three goals in the first 32 minutes.

The team of coach Luis Enrique played on the cards from the first minutes. In the 3rd minute, central defender Sergej Krywzow made an awkward foul in the box. Sergio Ramos converted the penalty with a bit of luck.

Half an hour later it was 3-0. Ramos became the man of the game with head praise to make it 2-0, and 17-year-old offensive talent Ansu Fati of FC Barcelona hit the post three minutes later with a quick move. Fati was about to score two goals too. When the score was 1-0, he defeated goalkeeper Andrei Pyatov, but a defender defended himself at the goal line. The young substitute Ferran Torres made it 4-0 shortly before the end.

At the Nations League premiere in autumn 2018, the Spaniards did not qualify for the Final Four tournament as second behind England. With the 1-1 victory in Germany at the start of this year’s competition, they have created good conditions to do better this time.
