Police helicopter drives away visitors from the beach in Mallorca

The evening hours on the beach with the sunset are too beautiful. But vacationers in Mallorca must miss the show. To enforce the crown’s measures, Mallorca’s police have been flying low over the beaches in a helicopter since Friday. Annoying bathers are asked to evacuate the beaches via loudspeaker announcements. Civil Guard helicopter operations have already been reported with megaphone announcements from popular beaches such as Calvià, Palma and Santa Ponsa.

It is still daylight when the police helicopter glides over a Majorca beach to enforce the ordered nightly closure from 9:00 p.m. A child stops short. Other video recordings show a few remaining bathers fleeing the beach towards the boardwalk in the face of the volume and violent winds from the helicopter’s rotor.
