53-year-old woman is stabbed – suspect arrested by police – Baden – Aargau

On Saturday morning, shortly before 10:30 a.m., the 117 police emergency number received the message that the
Hombergstrasse in Nussbaumen, a young man yelled and threatened. A short time later, the police received the message that the man was probably armed with a knife.

More than a dozen cantonal and regional police officers rushed to the scene of the incident. After less than a quarter of an hour, the first intervening patrol of the canton of Aargau police managed to board and arrest a suspect on the first floor of the house. He was on the balcony with a seriously injured 53-year-old woman.

Medical care for the injured woman was quickly secured. The ambulance took her to the hospital with suspicion of serious stabbing. The object can be registered. Then there was no danger to third parties in the immediate vicinity of the property.

To start the investigation, more forces moved to the scene. Hertensteinstrasse had to be closed to traffic during forensic work and the crime scene. The Obersiggenthal fire brigade set up a detour.

Open criminal investigation

The Baden prosecutor opened a criminal investigation against the alleged perpetrator, a 27-year-old Swiss citizen from the canton of Zurich. Before the intervention, there must have been a discussion with two people in the vicinity of the house where he was visiting. A 51-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.

He had to be seen by a specialist from the Aargau care team. The criminal investigation that has now started is aimed at clarifying the process and motive for the violent crime. More information
