The Bern canton police received a report shortly before 6.45am on Thursday morning that a man on an intercity train on the route from Bern to Thun had threatened two women with a knife. According to previous knowledge, the women were sitting in a train compartment when the man passed them in Münsingen, spoke to them and took out the knife.
Soon after, he released them and left. No one was injured, as the Bern canton police wrote in a message.
Arrest in Thun
The man could be detained at the Thun train station without resistance. He was taken to a police station for clarification. The droher is a 39-year-old Swiss, as the Bern canton police said when asked by BLICK.
