The president of the Walenstadt school board organized a large quantity of schnapps for a high school graduation ceremony. The minors were well covered. Tequila, vodka, Jägermeister, alcopops. 27 full bottles. Pascale Dürr (51) has been sentenced for this. She accepted the order of August 6. The St. Gallen prosecutor’s office confirms this upon request. “The sanction order is final and the process is over,” prosecutor Stephanie Grau tells VIEW.
Dürr was sentenced to a conditional fine of 20 daily rates of 450 francs each and a fine of 1,800 francs. Then there are the costs of the procedure. 650 francs. The 51-year-old man must pay a total of 2450 francs.
After VIEW made the incident public, there was a sanction order from the prosecutor. It says: The mother of a 15-year-old daughter was guilty of “at least possibly deliberately administering or making available substances dangerous to health.”
Schnaps was for “a friend’s birthday party”
Will the president of the School Board continue in office? In early August, Mayor Angelo Umberg said: “As long as the sanction order is not legally binding, there will be no consequences for now.” And now? Pascale Dürr remains in office. The mayor in VIEW: “Although the judgment of the Public Ministry is firm, but the report of the cantonal school supervisory authority is not yet available, it is still an ongoing process.”
At the beginning of the matter, Pascale Dürr testified in a statement. She admitted to buying the liquor case with the 27 bottles. But: not for the graduation ceremony of the high school class, but for the “birthday party of a friend”. The president of the school council continued: “In this context, my daughter and some of her classmates asked me to give them some bottles.” She regrets it now.
“We buy a lot”
Excerpts from the class WhatsApp chat (SEE are available) speak against the councilor’s version. The brandy box was bought for the party. Pascale Dürr’s daughter, of all people, euphorically writes: “Today we went shopping and did a lot of shopping!”
Below, the 15-year-old posted a photo of a box with 27 bottles of liquor. “It’s just strong alcohol without beer. Hahaha ”, says the minor in the photo. And it also suggests: What is not drunk can be divided among themselves.
Meanwhile, the school board president no longer wants to comment on the incident and the sanction order. Pascale Dürr left a request from BLICK unanswered.
