In the third qualifying round for the Champions League, the double winner YB will face FC Midtjylland away from home. To this day the possible rival in the playoffs is known: Slavia Prague.

The Young Boys already know the path that leads to the group stage of the Champions League. Assuming victory in the third qualifying round against Danish champion Midtjylland, the Bernese will play the playoff against Slavia Prague in late September to enter the million dollar business.

On Wednesday 16 September the qualifying game against Midtjylland will take place in Herning. Although that duel is decided in one game, the playoffs will take place in the classic way with games at home and away (22/23 and 29/30 September). YB would initially play as a visitor against Slavia Prague.
