Patrick Foletti, the national team’s goal coach, tested positive for the corona virus at the start of the Nations League national team.

This is demonstrated by the test results available on Tuesday, as the Swiss Football Association (SFV) writes in a press release. All other delegation test results were negative.

“On the way to the team hotel, Foletti was informed by phone yesterday, Monday, that there was a suspicious case in his vicinity. As a result, he was immediately isolated and examined by the team’s medical staff when he arrived at the team hotel, ”says the average. From the beginning there was no contact with the rest of the delegation or with the players. Foletti shows no symptoms and is still isolated. After consultation with the cantonal health authorities, there are no further restrictions for the national team.

So the national meeting continues according to schedule. This afternoon, Vladimir Petkovic’s team will fly from Basel to Lviv, where on Thursday at 8:45 p.m. Swiss time, the first match of the League of Nations against Ukraine will take place. The home game against Germany continues in Basel on Sunday.
