He became world famous as the prince from the superhero movie “Black Panther”. Now American actor Chadwick Boseman has died of cancer.
He was a “true fighter,” he said in his family’s message. Chadwick Boseman was still making movies while undergoing surgery and chemotherapy.
It was the greatest honor of his career bringing the title character T’Challa to life in “Black Panther,” the Boseman family said. The 2018 comic book adaptation was the first superhero movie to feature almost exclusively black actors in front of and behind the camera.

Boseman also appeared in such films as “Avengers: Infinity War”, “21 Bridges” and more recently directed by Spike Lee in “Da 5 Bloods”. She became all the rage in Hollywood with the role of baseball star Jackie Robinson in the sports drama “42.”
It was those fearless black front man roles that gave Chadwick Boseman great respect, especially among African Americans. He has had colon cancer since 2016, but kept the disease a secret from the public.
