Lufthansa Group airlines start operations again in June. With more than 106 German and European destinations and more than 20 intercontinental destinations, they will greatly expand their flight offers until the end of June. They will then again offer around 1,800 weekly connections to more than 130 destinations worldwide. The airlines’ flight schedules are closely coordinated and thus allow for reliable connectivity to European and intercontinental destinations through the hubs, the company said.
The offer of individual airlines:
Lufthansa
The resumption in Germany and Europe in the first fortnight of June is from Frankfurt: Hannover, Mallorca, Sofia, Prague, Billund, Nice, Manchester, Budapest, Dublin, Riga, Krakow, Bucharest and Kiev. From Munich is Münster / Osnabrück, Sylt, Rostock, Vienna, Zurich, Mallorca and Brussels.
Lufthansa long-distance re-arrivals from Frankfurt in detail (subject to travel restrictions): Toronto, Mexico City, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, Bahrain, Johannesburg, Dubai and Mumbai. The destinations New York (Newark), Chicago, São Paulo, Tokyo and Bangkok will continue to be offered.
Lufthansa is returning long distance from Munich: Chicago, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv.
Austrian Airlines
The Austrian subsidiary has decided to extend the suspension of regular flight operations for another week until June 7. A reboot in June is under consideration.
Swiss
The Swiss airline plans to fly again to various destinations in the Mediterranean, and other major European hubs such as Paris, Brussels and Moscow are also included in the program.
In addition to the three weekly connections to New York (Newark), Swiss will again offer additional direct intercontinental connections for long-haul flights in June: New York (JFK), Chicago, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Johannesburg.
Eurowings
The low-cost airline had already announced last week that it would expand the core program at Düsseldorf, Cologne / Bonn, Hamburg and Stuttgart airports and, starting in May, gradually add 15 more destinations within Europe. With Spain, Greece, Portugal and Croatia, there is a focus on destinations in the Mediterranean. Mallorca is being offered for the first time by several German Eurowings locations.
Brussels Airlines
The Belgian subsidiary plans to resume flight operations with a reduced offer starting June 15.
Customers should consider the current entry and quarantine regulations of the respective destinations when planning their trip. Throughout the journey, there may be restrictions due to stricter hygiene and safety regulations, for example, longer waiting times at airport security checks. Onboard supply remains limited until further notice. Passengers will also be asked to wear a nose and throat cover on board.
