Swans in Lake Hallwil have been able to nest in their nests in recent weeks. Six nests are currently on the shores of Lake Hallwil and the chances of numerous hatchlings are very high, says Thomas Eichenberger, president of the Swan Colony Hallwilersee.
Due to the Corona crisis, the large ships of course will only be operational again from July. At the moment, the water is calmer and does not remove nests from their places. Also, fewer dog owners walk around Lake Hallwil and fewer fishermen are away from home. These can be dangerous to swans. According to Thomas Eichenberger, the swan colony has to release a swan from the silch and a spoon three or four times a year.
In two weeks it will probably be ready and the first swans will hatch. The President expects numerous descendants of swans. In this case, the corona virus would have provided more life as an exception.
