In the village of Pieterlen BE in Zealand, police blocked main streets on Monday morning after a bomb threat. The bomb threat was received in writing on Monday.
Bern cantonal police are currently not providing further information, as a media spokeswoman said on request. The streets would be closed for security reasons. The emergency services are in the process of establishing a diversion.

A local resident was about to empty his mailbox when the police approached him. “The officer asked me to go back to my apartment,” he tells BLICK. The threat is directed against the community center, according to local residents. The building is about 300 meters in front of his house.
