It’s around 2.10 p.m. on Monday in Balsthal when a 24-year-old Swiss begins to overtake his black BMW.
The fireball passes by a delivery truck and a trailer that heads toward the center of town. Then, in the curved area to the right and in front of the local police station, the BMW collides head-on in the opposite lane with a truck heading for Oensingen.
The front of the sports car is fully pushed during the crash. The truck is also heavily damaged. The young BMW driver is lucky in misfortune. As Solothurn police report, he sustained only minor injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The truck driver ran away in horror.
