A fatal car accident occurred in Wynigen BE on New Years Eve. Two women got under a car when they got into the car and it suddenly began to roll. A woman died in the process. The second woman was seriously injured.
As the Bern canton police announced on Friday, the two women intended to get into a man’s car when it began to roll down the gently sloping street for reasons that have yet to be clarified. The two women got under the car and were trapped.
When the immediately deployed emergency services arrived, the individuals present had already been able to independently release the two women who had been involved in the accident. Two ambulance teams and a Rega team treated the injured at the scene.
Despite immediate rescue measures, a woman died at the scene of the accident. She is a 95-year-old Swiss woman from the canton of Bern. The second woman was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to hospital.
