Big fire in Höri ZH directly on Wehntalerstrasse, the main road through the community. An old wooden house with an adjoining barn burned to the foundation walls overnight in Sonntaga.
According to Alexander Renner from the Zurich Canton Police Operations Center, the fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m. and the extinguishing work ended shortly before 5 a.m.
Nine people who lived in the old wooden house, which also served as a commercial building, were able to get to safety in time, according to Renner. No one was injured. The material damages amount to several 100,000 to more than a million francs. (kes)
