Olympique Lyon’s dominance in European women’s football continues. For the French, it was the seventh win since the competition changed its name in the 2009/10 season and the fifth in a row.
In the first half, Lyon headed for victory. Eugénie Le Sommer (25th) and Saki Kumagai (44th) gave the series winners a 2-0 lead.
Dickenmann without compromise
Thanks to Alexandra Popp, the “wolves” were reduced to 1: 2 in the 58th minute. After that, Lyon gained the narrow lead and made the decision shortly before the end of the game with the goal of Sara Björk Gunnarsdottir (88th ).
