The canton of Thurgau offers secondary schools 400,000 hygienic masks for purchase. That should be enough for four weeks. In the Elementary Schools Office, it is expected that a mask will soon be required for the first year.

In Thurgau they are preparing for a crown order from Berset. In the current newsletter of the Elementary Schools Office, an offer is made to school communities: order hygienic masks for students and teachers, for the time horizon of four weeks. “Hygienic masks can be worn for eight hours,” says the bulletin. One per day per student is sufficient.
The canton has 400,000 pieces in stock for this purpose; Charges 20 cents per mask. But the canton camp is exhaustive. “During the period after the first four weeks, schools themselves must find connection solutions,” the newsletter continues.
School task force meets Thursday anyway

Avoid distance learning by all means

Since Monday there has been a stricter mask requirement in Thurgau schools. Therefore, teachers must wear a mask in the school building, not in the classroom. Elementary school pupils can voluntarily wear a mask. It is mandatory for vocational and Kantian students as long as they are not seated in your place. The new rule was adopted without problems. It refers to the requirement for masks on trains and buses, which has been in place for some time. “Also, masks have already been used in lessons if the required distances were significantly reduced.” Strasser expects a more stringent mask requirement for secondary and professional schools. This would also be implemented “without problems”.
