Now New Zealand shows once again what life could be like after Corona. On Saturday around 30,000 people attended a rock concert by the band Six60 at Wellington’s Sky Stadium.
As “BILD” writes, the event is sold out. The celebration took place without masks and without any distance. The reason: the island state has so far practically rid itself of the corona virus.
72 hour lock imposed
In New Zealand, however, there are still individual cases, but one reacts with great severity. After three people from a family in Auckland tested positive for the coronavirus, the government imposed a lockdown on the affected area on Sunday.
Therefore, for the next 72 hours, the population is asked not to leave their homes and to limit contacts to their own homes.
All stores will be closed, except for supermarkets and pharmacies. The gathering of more than ten people is not allowed.
Exemplary example in the fight against Corona
The last infection before the current case was registered in New Zealand on January 24, 2021. At that time, a person had tested positive after traveling from Europe. The infection could not have occurred in the country itself.
With around 2000 infections and 26 deaths, New Zealand is a prime example of fighting the corona pandemic. (support)
