- Thanks to Enzo Corvi’s hat trick, HCD won for the fifth time against the Lakers in the fifth game of the season (7: 4).
- Zug scored a 9-4 victory with the SCL Tigers in the 41st round of the National League.
- Biel scores 2 shorthand goals against Geneva during the same penalty, but loses 2: 3 after a penalty shoot-out.
- The ZSC Lions celebrate a 3-0 win over the harmless Bernese.
Davos – Lakers 7: 4
Despite a brilliant start from the Lakers (3 goals from minute 5 to 12 by Kevin Clark, Nando Eggenberger and Nico Dünner), the HC Davos players come off the ice as winners. The player who interfered with the Lakers on their hat trick played a big role in the trade: Enzo Corvi. The HCD attacker tied his season goals 6, 7 and 8 (8, 27, 39) at 1: 1, 3: 3 and 4: 4 respectively. The Davos team only took the lead 13 seconds before the end of the second period through Marc Wieser. Because the Lakers took all the risk early on, the Rapperswilers ultimately suffered a clear 4-7 loss. In last season’s 5 games with Davos, the Lakers came off the ice as losers.
SCL Tigers – Zug 4: 9
Leader Zug also started scoring for the SCL Tigers: Erik Thorell, once with a direct shot, then after a solo, ensured that EVZ was leading 2-0 after just 5 minutes. Sven Senteler (11th) and Dario Simion (17th) rose to 4-0 shortly after. There will have been some hope for the Langnauers after the 4: 6 (46th) goal. Raphael Diaz put down this with a 7: 4 four hand revolutions later, before Carl Klingberg achieved the final result with a double pack.
Biel – Geneva 2: 3 nP
It is not seen every day: Geneva leads 1-0, Biel receives a penalty for having too many players on the ice and 2 minutes later it is 2-1 for the EHCB. Anton Gustafsson and Mike Künzle scored with short players during the same penalty. Daniel Winnik was able to equalize 2: 2 in the 34th minute, as luck would have it, also outnumbered. Because after that no player of the match could score a goal, the penalty shoot-out had to decide. Geneva’s Winnik and Tanner Richard converted their attempts, while only Toni Rajala encountered the Bielers.
Bern – ZSC Lions 0: 3
Sven Andrighetto (17th) with the eighth goal of the last 8 games and Ryan Lasch (31st) against his former teammates led the Lions to Bern on their way to victory. Maxim Noreau made it 3-0 at 3 minutes in the final third with a powerful wrist shot. The immediate revenge of the Lions was a success: the day before, the SCB had won at the ZSC (4: 2). In contrast to Thursday’s duel, it was not Lukas Flüeler who saved the goal in Zurich, but Ludovic Waeber, who held a shutout and showed 27 parades.
