2nd stage of the Tour de Ski – Fähndrich is in the top 15 – Sport

After Nadine Fähndrich missed a podium in Friday’s sprint due to a crash, the Central Swiss woman performed well on day 2 of the Tour de Ski. Faehndrich qualified in the classic mass start race of more than 10 km with a difference of 24.6 seconds in 13th place. In the Tour general classification, Fähndrich is sixth (43 seconds behind).

“I am in shape, but I still lack the best form,” said the Lucerna woman at the end. Secretly, he hoped he could keep in touch with the group of the top ten. “But the last push was missing on the climbs.”

Laurien van der Graaff missed the top 30 and finished the race in 40th place (37th overall).

Svahn twice later

As in the sprint the day before, Linn Svahn secured victory at the top. The Swede won the final sprint ahead of Russia’s Julia Stupak and American Jessie Diggins. In the overall standings, Svahn leads 13 seconds ahead of Diggins and 18 seconds ahead of compatriot Frida Karlsson.
