Also in the 2nd duel of the Super League between the two promoted teams, the winner is Lausanne. Two weeks ago the Vaudois won 3-0, now the scoreboard was 2-0.
The victory of the guests is absolutely fine. Lausanne had already had more game in the first half. After the break, Giorgio Contini’s team knew how to turn their superiority into goals.
In the 49th minute, the ball reached Cameron Puertas after a beautiful direct play on the edge of the penalty area. The Spaniard let two Vaduzers out and pushed goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel to make it 1-0.
Turkes scores again against his former club
A quarter of an hour later the preliminary decision was made. After Fuad Rahimi’s foul on Evann Guessand, referee Stefan Horisberger rightly decided a penalty.
Aldin Turkes sank the leather with a bit of luck – Buchel was almost there – for 2-0 at the net. Turkes had already scored two goals in the first comparison with his former club.
Vaduz also fought back after the 2-0 draw, but in the end he remained too harmless to endanger Lausanne. Coach Mario Frick’s team has lost all of their last 4 games and hasn’t scored a single goal.
So it goes
Both Vaduz and Lausanne return to action on Sunday. Liechtensteiners travel to Sion, Lausanne host FC Luzern at home.
