Despite an early deficit, Wil was already 5-1 in the game after 33 minutes. “Then St. Gallen shortened to 3: 5. Fortunately, we then scored the sixth goal,” recalls then-Wiler midfielder Umberto Romano. “When I scored 7: 3 shortly after the break, we knew it was over.”
