It seems that those who want the Chevrolet Silverado to have a lot more power to take other upgraded trucks will really get their wish. That doesn’t mean that the Silverado lacked anything, really, and with over 250,000 sales in the first half of 2020 alone, it’s pretty safe to say that it’s a good truck like always. But for those looking to smoke unsuspecting drivers with unnecessarily high power and torque figures, but who may still retain a few practical points, there’s the Yenko S / C Silverado Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE). Because who doesn’t like the most outrageous pills?

First discovered by Dupont Registry, SVE has worked closely with Chevrolet and its Silverado to create a steroid truck. The close working relationship has given SVE the first dibs across much of GM’s product line, including those vehicles that have yet to be launched, and even engines that we may or may not fully know. The project started a year ago and draws much of the learning and technology gleaned from SVE’s expertise in supercharger applications on the Camaro and GMC Syclone.

The Yenko S / C Silverado uses a familiar, hand-built 6.2-liter V8 with forged internal components and heads with a CNC port. This engine is mated to an upgraded transmission with new clutch packs and a custom torque converter. Output power is rated at 800 horsepower (597 kW) and 720 pound-feet (976 Nm) of torque. You can also have suspension upgrades, a tuned exhaust, and a choice between 2WD and 4WD. Massive Brembo brakes peek out from the 22-inch SVE wheels, with custom color options for the former and three optional finishes for the latter.
The SVE Yenko S / C Silverado can be ordered and repaired at any Chevy dealer, but you will have to hurry as SVE is only creating 50 examples. The price has not yet been announced, but we will be watching.
