Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020 leaving the entire country numb and heartbroken. The actor was 34 years old at the time of his death. According to police statements, he committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai. While his tragic demise has left the entertainment industry in deep shock, some people have called on certain members of the film fraternity for meddling in the late actor’s career. As of now, an investigation is underway into the entire matter.
In addition to questioning some people in Sushant’s death case, police officers also asked Yash Raj Films for a copy of the contract he had signed with them. Now, they have acquired the same publication that many revelations have been made. Under the contract, Sushant Singh Rajput had a 3-movie contract with YRF and was paid Rs 30 lakh for the first one, which is Shuddh Desi Romance, co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor.
His second adventure with YRF was the movie Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, for which he was reportedly paid an amount of Rs 1 crore. Furthermore, the YRF itself decided whether the film turned out to be a success or a failure. However, it is still unclear whether Sushant was paid the aforementioned amount for his second film because, under the contract, he was given 60 lakh rupees. Speaking of his third YRF movie titled Paani, it was later archived due to creative differences between director Shekhar Kapoor and Aditya Chopra.
