Earlier this week we got an Indie World Showcase, so what follows typically? In Nintendo Direct, of course.
When can a Direct take place, you ask? According to industry insider VentureBeat insider Jeff Grubb – who has a proven track record – there is apparently a good chance that Nintendo will release its next release on August 28 (that’s new week).
Here’s what Jeff had to say about the recent episode of GamesBeat Decides:
“I have heard a few things and I think there is a strong possibility that there will be a Nintendo Direct next week, on Friday [the 28th]. That’s the date I heard. ”
By saying this, it maybe not Wês de exactly presentation that everyone is hoping for – with Grubb referring to the previous broadcast in July and how it was instead a “Partner Direct” focused on third-party games.
There have also been rumors of a Nintendo broadcast coming out in the month of September, which would line up with Mario’s 35th birthday.
On the same episode of GamesBeat, Grubb noted how he expects a first-party-focused showcase to come “by last” by mid-September – so it’s out of the way before the company’s Management Briefing Session takes place on September 16th. .
“I heard that even before Nintendo announced that they were having a special meeting with investors in mid-September.”
“I think it makes a lot of sense for them to get a Direct out of the way before that happens, so they don’t have to answer questions like ‘what games are coming up?'”
