Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi Irwin is pregnant with her first child.
The 22-year-old star of Crikey! It is The Irwins – whose pastor and conservative father died of a stingray injury to the heart in 2006 – married American wakeboarding champion Chandler Powell in a private ceremony at the Australian Zoo in April.
Bindi shared a photo of herself and Powell holding a small Australian Zoo uniform on Instagram, with the caption: “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021.”

The reality TV star added: “Chandler and I are proud to announce what we expect! It is an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you.
‘Although I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be a part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We could not wait to share the news, because this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.
“Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little loved one. Love and light. ”
Her mother Terri Irwin tweeted: “This is the best day ever! I’m over the month to announce that @BindiIrwin en @ chandlerpowell9 will have a baby! Words cannot express the love that fills my heart. While I wish Steve was here to share this wonderful moment, I knew he would be so proud. “

Powell, 23, met Bindi in 2013 while visiting Australia Zoo while on holiday with his family. She officially started dating in July 2015, after Powell contacted Terri Irwin and asked if he could take her daughter out.

The couple was presented with a special Port Jackson fig tree by Hollywood star and friend-of-the-family Russell Crowe to mark their wedding.
In 2018, he moved to Australia, where he works at the zoo and features in the reality show Irwins, Crikey! It’s The Irwins.
Crocodile hunters star Steve Irwin, who was just 44 when he died, married American-born conservator Terri in 1992 and they worked together on TV shows until his death.
Bindi runs the zoo with Powell, her mother Terri and her 16-year-old brother Robert Irwin.
