Splash Mountain designs removed from MaDe and Art on Demand at Walt Disney World

We hope all Splash Mountain fans have been able to get their hands on MaDe and Art on Demand for the past few weeks at Disney Springs, because items related to the attraction have been discontinued on the digital print service after the announcement of their relaunch. fearing The princess and the frog.

Two weeks ago, MaDe and Art on Demand still had items like customizable MagicBands, phone cases, and prints available with themes from Splash Mountain and its controversial characters.

Going through MaDe kiosks today, we noticed that Splash Mountain designs were not available. A cast member confirmed that all Splash Mountain designs had been removed from the system.

At Art of Disney, we were able to find these sketches of Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear by Disney artist Monica Willis. We were able to see Willis working on these in real time last week:

Fans looking for Disney Park Pals of Br’er Rabbit may have availability issues as they are quickly running out with every refill in World of Disney.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World intend to reopen with current iterations of Splash Mountain, which will be closed at a later date for retheming. The same fans who cleared the shelves at World of Disney will likely go to the Briar Patch to buy the latest merchandise. (I will be cleaning shelves to make room for more Princess and the frog goods…)
