Spiritfarer, the “welcoming death management game”, has a new game teaser

Spiritfarer seems to be one of the sweetest and bittersweet games to be released this year. The new trailer showcases new characters, traverses and more of the gameplay.
Devs Thunder Lotus Games describes Spiritfarer as “a cozy management game about death”. That sounds like a lot to get into a game, but all of the advancements so far seem to capture that kind of cozy, relaxing tone. In Spiritfarer, you are Stella, “shuttle of the deceased”, and you are in charge of driving a boat and taking its occupants to the afterlife. You will build friendships with them before you let them go. Thunder Lotus had already talked about farming, mining, fishing, harvesting, cooking, and crafts, but this new trailer shows a few more activities, like playing the guitar.

We also meet new characters in the trailer, such as Alice the Hedgehog, and watch how Stella will travel on the ship, and how she will head across the sea. The ship and the game world look pretty massive, and according to the trailer, Stella will be riding a skateboard, race, zipline, and paragliding all over the place.

Spiritfarer launches this year, although there is no specific date yet. When it starts, it will hit Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC.
