SpaceX launched 60 more Starlink Internet relay platforms into orbit on Sunday, as the company conducted a network test in Washington state and tied the length of about 300 satellites launched in June without spacecraft failure.

At 8:25:57 a.m. Sunday at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, nine Merlin 1D engines operated the Falcon 9 rocket pad F Pad 39A and marked the 14th Falcon 9 mission dedicated to the deployment of SpaceX satellites. Starlink broadband network.

The kerosene-fed engines produced 1.7 million pounds of thrust as the Falcon 9 rocket hit the northeast of Florida’s space coast. A minute and a half later, the first stage booster stopped its engines and began descending into the Atlantic Ocean towards SpaceX’s drone ship “Ourse Course I Steve Love You”.

The second stage single Merlin engine ignited the mission to advance into orbit, and the two pieces of the Falcon 9 reached a distance of about three and a half minutes in a nasal shroud flight.

The 15-story first-stage booster landed on a SpaceX drone about 400 miles (630 kilometers) north of Cape Canaveral. It was the crew Dragon spacecraft’s sixth unmanned test flight since its debut in March 2019 – designated for this fixed booster B1051 – for the sixth back and forth voyage in space.

At the same time, the upper phase of the Falcon 9 delivered 60 Starlink Internet satellites into initial orbit. The upper stage engine was then built to whip the payload in a circular orbit close to 172 miles (278 kilometers) from Earth, with a tilt of 53 degrees at the equator.

Sixty flat-panel satellites separated from the rocket at 9:29 a.m. EDT (1329 GMT) to complete SpaceX’s 70th straight successful mission. The camera on the upper stage showed 60 satellites – each with a mass of a quarter ton – flying free over the Falcon 9 over the Indian Ocean.

SpaceX’s production supervisor, who hosted the company’s launch webcast on Sunday, said, “And a great way to get started on Sunday.”

SpaceX said that since early Sunday, two of its ferries recovery ships have captured both parts of the ferries as Clashshells returned to Earth under parachutes. As Failing stabilized in orbit, one of the ships gave way, but SpaceX said its recovery team at sea was OK.

With the satellites launched on Sunday, SpaceX has put 835 Starlink broadband relay stations into orbit, using prototypes that will not be used for commercial service. Which will extend SpaceX’s lead in managing the largest fleet of satellites in orbit.

The new Starlink spacecraft, built by SpaceX in Reshmond, Washington, Washington, was expected to unload solar panels and start increasing krypton ion thrusters to about 341 miles (550 kilometers), where they will begin providing broadband service.

SpaceX plans to launch an initial block of about 1,500 Starlink satellites in orbit 341 miles above Earth. Founded by billionaire Elon Musk, the company has regulatory approval from the Federal Communications Commission to operate a fleet of 12,000 small Starlink broadband stations operating in low-band, Ka-band and V-band frequencies.

There are also initial plans for a large fleet of 30,000 additional Starlink satellites, but a network of that size has not been authorized by the FCC.

SpaceX says the Starlink network – built for low-latency Internet service – is still in its infancy, and engineers continue to test the system to collect latency data and speed tests. In a Oct. 13 filing with the FCC, SpaceX said it has begun beta testing of the Starlink network in several U.S. states, and is providing Internet connectivity to previously vulnerable students in rural areas.

On September 28, the Washington Military Department announced that it was using the Starlink Internet service because emergency responders and residents of Malden, Malden, had recovered from a forest fire that destroyed much of the city.

Earlier this month, Washington government officials said the Hoh tribe was starting to use the Starlink service. SpaceX said it recently installed about 20 private homes on the Starlink Ground Terminal and Ho Tribe reservations on the administrative building.

“We are very remote,” said Melvinjon Ashu, vice chairman of the Hoh Tribe. “For the last eight years, I have felt like we were paddling the river with a spoon and with internet access for reservations almost nowhere to be found.

It said October. “It seemed like SpaceX didn’t come out of nowhere and catapulted us into the 21st century,” he said. Tele-health will no longer be an issue, as well as tele-mental health. ”

In an FCC filing last week, SpaceX representatives wrote that the company has successfully launched and operated about 300 new Starlink spacecraft since June without fail.

SpaceX will continue to invest in its rapid network deployment, including launching as many as 120 satellites a month and installing extensive ground infrastructure across the country, SpaceXFCC said.

SpaceX is in the process of launching more than 120 satellites in October.

With the Falcon 9 launch, the company added 60 satellites to the Starlink network from October 6 and launched another 60 spacecraft on Sunday. The Falcon 9 rocket is temporarily up for a lift off with a second batch of Starlink satellites at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station from Pad 40 on Wednesday at 12:36 pm EDT (1636 GMT).
