Follows The first high-itude altitude test flight of its latest Starship prototype, Which ended with some serious fireworks, SpaceX is back in business as usual with the recent launch from its Workhorse Falcon 9 rocket.
Elon Musk’s rocket company PT sent the new SiriusXM satellite into orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The satellite is labeled SXM-7 and will replace the company’s XM-3 satellite.
The launch was originally scheduled for Blastoff Friday, but the launch scrubbed with only 30 seconds left on the countdown clock.
The SXM-7 was built by contractor Maxxer, who said in a statement that it would “deliver the highest power density of any commercial satellite on orbit, sending more than 8,000 watts of material to the continents of the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.” Increase signal quality for subscribers. ”
