Sony announces $ 1,799 A7C compact full-frame mirrorless camera

Sony has announced the A7C, a new camera that is still in the alpha range of its full-frame mirrorless camera by its smaller model. The A7C looks more like one of Sony’s APS-C models than the A700, the upper left side of the rear panel of the camera, adopts a more compact body with an electronic viewfinder, the Rangfinder-style.

The A7C measures 124.0 mm x 71.1 mm x 59.7 mm and weighs 509 g. It has a 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor with in-body image stabilization and a standard ISO range of up to 51,200. It can shoot up to 10fps with f-exposure, and it is capable of up to 100 Mbps, 4K / 30fps or 1080p / 120fps video. The body has USB-C, Wi-Fi and various-angle 3-inch 921,000-dot LCD.

Sony has developed a new kit lens designed to pair with the A7C; When used together, the company describes the combination as “the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame camera system.” (Sigma can pose an issue with that term.) It’s a 28-60mm f 4-5.6 zoom that’s only 45mm long when retracted.

The A7C is priced at just 7 1,799, which is 200 200 less than the 2018 A7 III, which is technically closer to the camera. But the A II III is now a few years old and widely available at discounted prices, and may be the perfect option for anyone who prefers a viewfinder size or general ergonomics.

As far as competition goes, the A7C is heading straight ahead of Panasonic’s new 99 1,999 Lumix S5, another compact 24-megapixel full-frame camera. But there are more affordable options – the Nikon Z5 is priced at 3 1,399.95 and comes with the same collapsible kit zoom lens for $ 1,699.95, which is only less than the Sony B Sony D. Canon’s EOS RP is less expensive these days, though it’s a bit larger.

Still, Sony has the best original full-frame mirrorless lenses out there with the virtue of beating everyone else on the market for several years. If you want a smaller camera my body to take advantage of, the A7C can be an indispensable option. It will go on sale next month at 7,799 or 0,099 with a new kit zoom lens.
